MSP Document Processing Clerk Level 2 - TA
Position Summary:
The position processes complex residency, enrolment, and account maintenance applications and documents for the Medical Services Plan (MSP). Reviews and verifies information, updates MSP systems, and makes decisions based on established policies and procedures. May contact beneficiaries by phone to obtain or provide information.This position is designated as a Grid level 11, with an hourly range of of $30.43 - $34.57.
Key Accountabilities:
- Review and process complex residency, enrolment, and account maintenance applications and supporting documents.
- Verify information using available systems, records, and resources.
- Approve, update, or send correspondence for rejected applications based on policies and procedures.
- Update enrolment and account information in MSP systems.
- Investigate and resolve complex applications escalated from MSP Document Processing Clerk Level 1 and other departments
- Participates in additional projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Provides intermittent peer to peer mentorship/training as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; may be subject to standardized testing.
- Two years’ experience in a data entry, records processing, or administrative environment.
- Experience reviewing, analyzing, and processing information with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience working with Medical Services Plan policies and procedures.
- One year of experience as an MSP Document Processing Clerk Level 1
- Developed understanding of privacy and security related to personal information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications in a Windows environment
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
- Knowledge of principles related to privacy and security of personal information
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
